Walk softly, my litle ones
There's much ahead of you
I pray to give you guidance
For what you may go through
It seems like only yesterday
You were both tiny babes
Whom I rocked, and thanked God for
And to all my love I gave
But yesterday is done and gone
I have to face today
You are not babies any more
You each must go your way
I listen to your troubles
And I give you my advice
I pray for God to Bless you
So that you will turn out right
I'll never cease my praying
As you go down life's road
And if your heart is troubles
I'll share your heavy load
I really dread tomorrow
When you will leave the nest
You'll make is safely, is my prayers
And God will do the rest

Take Jesus by the Hand
And He will gently lead you
To a far much better land
