Dad

There is a certain day in June
Set aside to celebrate
Gifts are give to all the Dads
To say "I think you're're great"
The gift that I am sending you
Comes from inside the heart
I really think that you are "tops"
And I have from the start



I gues sometimes I bugged you
When I was just a kid
But you made my life much brighter
With the many things you did
You kept me in the best of clothes
For me to wear to school
You helped me to appreciate
And to keep the golden rule


I thank you for giving me
My hearts desire for years
A tiny baby sister
That I love so dear
I'd like to thank you most of all
For giving to my Mom
The happiness she'd never known
But waited for so long


We've had differences alright
All down through the years
We've even had arguments
That has caused many tears
But that is only a small scar
On all the fun we had
So I would like to tell you
I am proud to call you Dad
