Graduation time draws near
And time keeps moving on
You're not the baby girl no more,
I cared for, for so long
But to me, it's not changed much,
I love you even more
There's a special place for you
in my heart as before

Through the years there's been bad times
We've not seen eye to eye
Sometimes we both have said things
Then both go home and cry
But I dwell on the good times
And all the laughs we've had
I'm here for you when you're happy
To lean on when you're sad

So now my girl's all grown up
And soon to leave the nest
I pray you'll have a good life
That always you'll be Blessed
Just always trust in Jesus
When the family's far away
Always keep your hand in His
And don't forget to pray

So as you walk across that stage,
take the Principal's hand and shake it
You can be sure I'll be right there,
saying , Vik, I knew you'd make it
