THREE LONELY CROSSES

On the Hill of Golgoltha
In a row they stood
Three lonely crosses
All made of wood.

The men on each side
Were thieves to be killed
But the One in the middle
Was doing God's Will.

He suffered and died
So that we might live
The Greatest of Gift
That any man could give.

For six hours He hung there
In the cruelest of deaths
He cried "Father forgive them"
As He took his last breath.

The crowd all yelled "crucify"
He's the king of the jews
In the crowd stood His Mother
Her heart breaking in two.

In a tomb He was buried
His mission was done
Just as God had planned it
For His Dear Beloved Son.

The day He ascended
This promise He made
I will be back to get you
In this very same way.

But be ye all watchful
For ye know not when
The Son of man appeareth
For I'm coming again.

The saints will be taken
In the twinkling of an eye
To meet our sweet Master
Someday, by and by.

All I know to tell you
To determine your fate
Get your heart right with Jesus
Before it's too late.
