Did you ever think of the breath of life
God gave to all mankind
Legs to walk, tongues to talk
And to most a Healthy mind

Nearly everyone of us
Forget from time to time
We take these things for granted
And think, well, they're just mine

But none are really ours, you know
God can give or take away
Sometimes He does that very thing
To guide us when we stray

Tonight , like many other nights
I gasped for breath to live
God heard the prayer within my heart
For surely He did give

My struggling soon just became
A tired exausted breath
That could have went the other way
And headed straight for death

There must be still a few things
God has for me to do
With all the sickness that I've had
The Lord had brought me through

I hope and pray whatever the task
Before me that He lays
That I will do my very beat
And give Him all the Praise!
