~*Wind beneath My Wings*~

I see the stars dance in your eyes
And they still make my heart sing
You are my one and only love
The wind beneath my wings

Just holding hands and talking
Snug and perfectly content
Sometimes we don’t even realize
Where all the evening went

When you come home at close of day
The one who wears my wedding ring
A perfect love from God above
The winds beneath my wings

In your arms I’m safely sheltered
From all of life’s uncertain turns
When you’re away I’m not the same
For only you my heart so yearns

We've been Blessed with a love so true
And all the trust and happiness it can bring
It's as if our very souls unite
You’re the wind beneath my wings

My childhood sweetheart, my hero, my friend
We share a love that’s Blessed and sweet
I'll always remember that special day,
When across the room our eyes did meet

My Darling my companion, my lifetime love
To my heart precious joy you bring
I love you so much as I feel your touch
You’re the wind beneath my wings

We sit silently in the cool of the eve
As we rest in the old porch swing
No words are needed our hearts entwined
To our many years of love we cling

It's been forty one years with hearts aglow
Wedding bells for us did ring
All those years you've been my strength
The wind beneath my wings

Should I go first and you remain
You will miss me this I am sure
But you will someday follow me
I'll wait for you on the golden shore

I'll stand with arms wide open, love
Until it's you the angel brings
We'll stand before Jesus hand in hand
As we receive our golden wings
