~~*What Am I Thankful For*~~

What all am I thankful for I can't make a list
From the day I was born I've been truly blessed
Not with fame and fortune "oh no" not indeed
But God had supplied me with my every need



We've never gone hungry our table's been full
And we've always had clothes to wear
Maybe not in the latest fashion you see
Nonetheless very well we have fared



I'm thankful for my husband who's been by my side
Many years now we've been Blessed to see
Children, Grandchildren and their precious love
Is a Blessing in itself I agree



I'm thankful for my church and all that is there
As we fellowship with one and all
For the freedom to worship our dear Lord above
Many places now that freedom is gone



I'm thankful for friends, many so close
Nieces, nephews and all family so sweet
For all of my family that's already gone on
I've a promise with them someday I'll meet



I'm thankful for the very breath that I breathe
That many take for granted each day
For all of my meds that sustain my life
Till God says it's time I must leave



Above all the things I am most thankful for
Is a Savior who one day gave His life
Then went away to prepare just for us
A city where the "SON" is the light



Oh, for Salvation Praise His Sweet Name
A Blessing none can ever repay
Take time to thank Him for all He has done
As you enter this Thanksgiving Day
