Words from Max Lucado
If Jesus could be so humble after enduring all that he did
Shouldn't we try harder to accept the rainfall in our lives
And thank Him for the Valleys as well as the Hilltops

Before the sleepy town awakes and activities begin
Here I sit sleepless with my mind awhirl
Wondering what will happen today out there
In this old broken sinful world

The rain is falling in a slow steady stream
Outside my bedroom window as I sort of day dream
What does life hold in store down my rough worn path
Sunshine in my future or clouds overcast

Although my path seems rocky my effort I’ve put in
Watching where I stepped and carefully chose my footing
I’ve tried to walk uprightly a light for all to see
That Jesus Christ my Savior dwells inside of me

Many times I have failed Him although I am ashamed
He has forgave me every time Oh Praise His Holy Name
With nail scarred Hands He held me when I start to fall
And it don’t cost a penny He already paid it all

As I am deep in thought of all He’s done for me
I’m not worthy of it but He died to set me free
I wonder about my neighbors and all my family too
Lord as they awake today do they ever think of you

As the calming rain keeps falling and folks begin to stir
Someone needs a Blessing and Lord you know just where
A little mind like my own I can’t comprehend
But I lift them up to you Lord You’re sure to find them

My blessings are so many sometimes I can’t contain
As I bow in reverence to you Lord and Praise your Holy Name
A Savior that’s so precious a Friend in time of need
An everlasting promise if your Word we will heed

Please Bless my friends and family and all my neighbors too
Stir the hearts of those that’s lost that they might turn to you
Grant me health if it be They Will to breathe another day
Thank you Lord for gentle rain as I kneel here and pray
