Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is
of few days and full of trouble.
Job 14:2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down:
he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
Job 14:3 And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one,
and bringest me into judgment with thee?
Job 14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?
not one.
Job 14:5 Seeing his days are determined, the number
of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed
his bounds that he cannot pass;
Job 14:6 Turn from him, that he may rest
, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.
Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down,
that it will sprout again, and that the tender
branch thereof will not cease.

Old Job was a righteous man
Loved God with all his heart
All his wealth was took away
And from his family had to part

The devil really tried him
Because much he did possess
But Job he never waivered
He still said He was Blessed

Sometimes I think about Old Job
And all the pain he bore
Discouraged even by his wife
And afflicted by the sores

But Job stood his ground like solid rock
For God he did uphold
He said you talk like a foolish woman
We must be strong and bold

Job lost his children and all his wealth
Not once did he complain
He said the Lord had blessed him before
And he was sure He’s would again

O but if I could have the faith he had
The strength that he has shown
I am sure life’s troubles would lessened
More peace I could have known

I could rejoice in everything
Though many battles I endure
If I could just have the faith of Job
My life would be better here

I ask for a double portion Lord
As I travel this uneven road
So I may be a witness
And to show the faith like Job
