Usually all the things I post is
about Heaven which is wonderful. But I
thought this might wake people up to see
that there's another place to hold those
that turn down our Blessed Savior.

The doctrine of Hell is one of the most horrifying
and most neglected doctrines in the Bible. When Hell is discussed or mentioned today
it is most often ridiculed or dismissed as
fantasy. However we find Jesus telling His
disciples of the certainty of this awful
place in Mat 13:49-50 So shall it be at
the end of the world: the angels shall come
forth, and sever the wicked from among the
just, And shall cast them into the furnace
of fire: there shall be wailing and
gnashing of teeth.

Let me say that Jesus didn't speak of fairy
tales or vain imaginations. He wasn't sent into
the world to save us from fairy tales but
to rescue us from the fiery abyss. He did
come so that we could have an abundant life
and to set us free from captivity and
bondage to the devil.

To that end He told his disciples in Luke 16 the
story of Lazarus and the rich man. Beginning
with verse 20 Jesus relates the story of how
the two men differed not only in this life but
in the life to come.Luke 16:23 And in hell
he lift up his eyes, being in torments,
and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in
his bosom. This is not a pretty picture
it is however a reality.

We need to understand beyond a shadow of
a doubt that God is a real God, Satan
is a real devil and Hell is a real place
and eternal punishment is certain for
those who reject the gift of eternal
life in Christ Jesus. The words of Jesus are
true and not allegory a s some ministers
and pastors have taught. Make no mistake
God will not be mocked His word is final
and when He declared in His sovereignty
that we must live a holy and righteous
life before Him, it wasn't a joke, it
wasn't something to scare us, and we
can rest assured it wasn't an option.

Many people including so-called Christians
reject the story of eternal punishment
and torment in the fiery pit as old
fashioned scare tactics of the church.
But let me assure you Jesus never made
up stories or told lies to make people
believe in Him or God. Jesus told of the
things He saw. One of the main reasons
so many people do not believe in Hell is
because they seldom hear people
speaking about it. If we spent half as
much time teaching about Hell as we do
the fanciful life we expect in Heaven
more people would see the reality of
their own situation, more backsliders
would repent, and more of the lost would
come to Christ for salvation and sanctification.

Our consideration of the terrors of hell
may be one of the most important things
we can do in this life. "Then he who hears
the sound of the trumpet, and doe s not
take warning, and a sword comes and takes
him away, his blood will be on his own head"
(Ezekiel 33:4).

The carnal mind throws up objection after
objection to the idea of hell because it
does not want to face the reality of it.
Men live their lives thinking that maybe
if they ignore a difficulty long enough,
it will go away. Even conservative religious
leaders are now attacking hell. Let them do
whatever they want their objections will
not change God's word one iota. No matter
how compassionate their foolish objections
may be Hell will remain a reality throughout
eternity.

Regardless of how many different doctrines ,
are studied there won't be any middle ground,
no neutral territory, no purgatory, no
reincarnations, no soul sleep and no appeals.
Every person will either be judged as
righteous or unrighteous. The righteou
s will receive their reward and live in the
presence of God; the unrighteous will,br> receive His wrath and be condemned to
torments of Hell in total separation from God.

Hell was not created as an abode for
unrighteous people, God created Hell as
a place of eternal torment for unrighteous
and rebellious angels. Human beings were
never intended to be in Hell or the Lake of Fire
It is only by their choice humans end up there.
Neither by power, nor might but only by free
choice of the individual can an eternity of
torment achieved. Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn
you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after
he hath killed hath power to cast
into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Consider the environmental conditions of Hell
The ground on which the damned walk is extremely
hot fed by flames beneath the crust, it is
barren, desolate, rough and rocky. There are no
smooth stones to sit upon and no place to rest
a weary body. Every physical feature in Hell
is designed by God to bring torment. Persons
who desire rest will sit or lie down on
smoldering rocks having sharp jagged corners
to burn, cut and scrape their skin. There will
not be any sleep because the torment will be
day and night forever and ever. The air will
be heavy with the odor of burning flesh
mingled with the stench coming from
decaying flesh destroyed by worms. Everyone
will be forced to smell the odor of their
flesh burning and there will be no way to
stop or relieve the pain. It will be dark
because there is no external light only the
illumination of fire and smoldering rock.
Visibility will be poor because of the dark
and smoky conditions. Eyes will be constantly
burning and itching because of burning ash
carried by the air currents. Considering
the temperature and ash breathing will be a
painful experience.

The terrain will resemble the interior of a
volcano there will not be one blade of grass,
not one tree, not one flower to gaze upon the
only fragrance will be the stench of burning
flesh and the obnoxious odors of sulfur and
asphalt burning. There will be no blue skies only
darkness, broken occasionally by the red and
yellow glow of brimstone burning. Everywhere a
person places their feet will be like stepping
into t he flow of lava. There will be no wind or
breezes, no clouds to bring comfort, no shade,
no stars to look upon, no nights, no days, no
sun in the sky, no rain and no water to quench
thirst, no rivers, lakes or oceans to look upon,
or dip hot burning feet into. Only a bleak barren
landscape filled with horrors beyond the wildest
imagination.

The population of Hell will consist of fallen
angels so terrible God refused to let them out
of the pit. Every thief, murderer, rapist, liar
idolater, war criminal, mass murders, witch,
physic medium, sorcerer, demon, and evil spirit
will be in the same eternal place of torment.
It's obvious the absence of love, respect, and
consideration will cause Satan's victims to be
surrounded by pure, unrestrained hatred and
every kind of evil every moment of their
existence throughout eternity.

Keep in mind Hell is not a place to force
angels or people to repent of their sin. It
was meticulously designed by God as a place of
pain torment and suffering. Hell is in fact God's
cosmic trash dump. Everything that is not
worthy of Heaven will cast into Hell.

Many of the condemned will desire death
but death will not come. Parents will
run to hide from their children, pastors
will try to escape the recriminations of
their congregations, politicians will
attempt to hide from their followers,
physics will not be able to explain to
their followers how they missed the mark,
witches will not be able to cast spells or
hide from those whom they have hurt, lawyers
will not be able to explain the cause of
their dilemma, school teachers will not
have the excuse of cultural diversity
or progressive education, doctors will
not be able to explain a fetus is not a
person, and yet through it all everyone
will understand why they are in Hell and
their most hidden sins will be exposed
for everyone to know. The Bible declares
there is nothing hidden which will not be
made known.

One last point to consider is Hell is the
holding area for those who will suffer the
torments of eternal punishment. Sometime
in the future God will call mankind to the
Great White Throne of Judgment. It is after
this judgment that everyone in Hell will be
condemned to the Lake of Fire. Not only will
they be condemned to a worst place for
eternity. This fact alone teaches conditions
among the damned will continue to worsen.
Rev 20:12-14 And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books
were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life: and the dead were
judged out of those things which were written
in the books, according to their works. And
the sea gave up the dead which were in it;
and death and hell delivered up the dead which
were in them: and they were judged
every man according to their works. And
death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death.

This is food for thought.
