Destiny

On Pre School, the very first day
For some they were happy
And some very scared
As little footsteps made their way

Straight in a row they came
To Mrs.'s Smith's room
But one lagged behind
And it was already nearly noon,

Come on Destiny Mrs. Smith said
Just as she seen the twisted little leg
Tried without success to be straightened
A brace wouldn't even stay in place

A brace wouldn't even stay in place
Children laughed and mocked
As the day passed slowly
Why can't you run they said?
I have a handicap Destiny said boldly

You see I am not ashamed it takes me longer
Laugh all you that like too like
But some day in Heaven, not much longer,
I'll run and play like you

They all queitened but were so still
You see some had not heard of God
But As Destiny told her story
They all believed in His Will

A month or so later on
There was a crowd at the school
They found Destiny so cold and still
But now she runs like me and you

As the old preacher preached the message
Of the last words of the little girl
He said she was placed here
I believe to be a light to the world

She caused people not to doubt
Of out dear Savior's love and
Most of all she's running and playing
With Jesus in the land up above,
