~*When I Think Of Calvary*~

Oh but for the love of God I've known
Oh but for His mercies to me He's shown
I might have strayed away, who knows?
When I think of Calvary, I think of Home

I feel an ache in my heart when I ponder
Pf blood shed on that cross up yonder
What a cruel death He died on that cross
So souls like you and I might not be lost

Excitement in the air as I think of him up there
When he ascended back to His Father in the sky
Nothing's to compare as He rose up in the air
To prepare a place of riches oh so fair

A mansion that awaits as I step into the gate
And the Son of God will be the light alone
Two thoughts go together death and life forever
When I think of Calvary I think of Home

Now my spirit soars even higher than before
When I wake up with Heaven on my mind
Walking on a street of gold we'll be no longer old
Men's mind cannot contain what all we'll find

Loved ones gone before part from them no more
All trials and tribulations will be o'er
We'll be with God's Son His will have been done
We will celebrate in Glory forevermore

As death draweth near I do have some fears
Of the transition I'll endure along the way
I will leave at His command He will hold my hand
And old Jordan will roll back for us that day

He'll split the eastern sky some wont have to die
As He gathers His saved ones that's His own
In a twinkling of an eye we'll soar into the sky
When I think of Calvary I still think of Home

we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in heaven."

These are Ms. Hamilton's comments concerning the image used for this set design:

"The abandoned church in this print is in Millington Tennessee. It served God and his people faithfully, but time and the elements took a toll and the congregation built a new facility. Looking at it made me think of a parallel to the Christian's life in this earthly human building of flesh. When it has served God, and His people well, and life on earth has taken it's toll, we have a heavenly body, imperishable, eternal, waiting for us in heaven."
