"The Lamb Of God"
Oft times I think of Heaven
And all the joy it holds
To me it does not matter
If every street is gold
Though the walls be made of jasper
Pearl may be the gates
It is where my Savior dwelleth
That’s why it’s hard to wait
When I am nearing old Jordan’s waters
With it soaring swelling tide
I will see a city younder
And see the gates swing open wide
There’ll be no fear or sadness
In that lad beyond the sky
‘Twill be perfect peace and gladness
As I reach sweet paradise
The death angel will lead me
To the edge of Jordan’s span
I’ll look up and see my Jesus
Reaching for my hand
I wont have to cross Jordan
All afraid and all alone
Jesus will stay beside me
To see that I safely make it home
My fears and worries will leave me
When on Heaven’s land I trod
I see the face of My Sweet Savior
I’ll behold the Lamb of God
I can just hear him say welcome
The joys of Heaven now is thine
Your tears have already been wiped away
Only peace here you will find
I will gently bow at the feet
Of God’s Dearly beloved Son
I will tell Him I’d like to thank Him
For the many things He’s done
I believe He’ll smile and tell me
‘That my heartaches are truly gone
To live in Christ and die in Christ
Assures to all a Heavenly Home
Oh the Beauties of Sweet Heaven
More than man’s mind could contain
He will show me around the city
In a place without my pain
I’ll spend a thousand years exploring
All the mansions and beautiful flowers
I’ll see my loved ones that’s gone on
We’ll sit rejoicing for hours
I think when I look upon the Savior
The story has not yet been told
Oh what glory awaits us
When the Lamb of God we behold
He gave His sweet life to save us
That we might abundantly live
What a more precious sacrifice
Could anyone possibly give
We will live in this eternal home
While down Heaven’s street we will trod
But more precious than gold I can tell you
When we behold the lamb of God
