Pappy's Feet

I used to love to sit and listen
At the stories that he knew
Pappy sure could tell them
'Don't know if they's all true

How to catch 8 possums on one night
How them old hounds got into s big fight
How one got killed one chewed up
Man what a night

He'd tell about a gigging
In the big creek near by
Got so many bullfrogs
The coffee sack wouldn't tie

He told of him and mammy
Sneaking out for some sugar
Then I really had to laugh
They' too old to kiss each other

I betcha I could go on for hours
And never could complete
All the good old stories
I learned at Pappy's feet
